What to Expect from World Police Summit

The World Police Summit kicks off from 7-9 March, with some of the most influential global exhibitors and speakers from the security and defence space

With Intersec having just passed us by, with a successful show full to the brim with innovative speakers and exhibitors, you would think the security and defence industry in the Middle East would take a moment to breathe – and yet, Dubai comes back in March with yet another huge security show in the World Police Summit. Backed by some of the largest institutions and associations in the industry, with some of the most influential speakers hosting their own conferences and the most innovative exhibitors displaying their latest products and solutions, this year’s World Police Summit promises to be one of the best opportunities all year for companies to network and build strong business relationships. Best of all, attending the event as a visitor is completely free.

Taking place on the 7-9 March at the Dubai Trade Center, the World Police Summit returns for its annual outing to the Middle East, drawing with it experts and innovators from all corners of the defence and security industries. This year’s show has an extensive list of focus points for speakers and products, including but not limited to: crime prevention, police innovation & resilience, anti-narcotics, forensic science and many more. The event is supported by giants such as Interpol, IACP, Roadpol, Dubai Economy and Tourism, Museum of the Future, Dubai Media and many more. With so much official backing from some of the most influential institutions in the world, it’s no wonder that everyone is clamouring for a space to exhibit at the show.

Some of the storied individuals hosting their own talks on the conference side of the show include Jurgen Stock, Secretary General, Interpol; Keechant Sewell, Commissioner, New York Police Department; Brenda Lucki, Commissioner, Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Andrew Coster, Commissioner and Chief Executive, New Zealand Police; Ruby Flores, Commander – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Group, Los Angeles Police Department and many more.

In addition to these conferences, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the show floor, populated with stands displaying some of the latest technologies from some of the world’s companies. To list all of the exhibitors here would be a fool’s errand – it’s that extensive – but to give you an idea of the calibre of visitors, we have companies such as Axis Communications, Airbus, Dahua Technology, Dubai Police General Headquarters, Genetec, Hikvision, Icarus Aerospace… and us! Over the course of three days these companies will be vying for the spotlight with their demonstrations of products and solutions that could usher in a safer and more peaceful world for all of us.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their wares in front of some of the most prestigious law enforcement agencies from all corners of the globe. Returning institutions looking to make new business deals include the Kuwait Police, the PDI, the Korean National Police Agency, the New York Police Department, the Australian Federal Police, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior and many more. The most important eyes in all of policing will have their watchful gaze cast on these exhibitors, so they better come (figuratively) armed to the teeth.

But that’s not all! Visitors and exhibitors at the World Police Summit will also be treated to the World Police Summit Awards, a ceremony that seeks to reward and commend exceptional individuals and companies for their contributions to the industry and society.

The new World Police Summit Awards have been created to identify and acknowledge the achievements of the world’s best individuals and teams in policing and law enforcement.

Across seven categories, the annual Awards uphold the highest international standards and set new performance benchmarks in law enforcement to celebrate the individuals and teams who have made a critical contribution to transforming policing operations, organisational excellence, scientific achievements, and community relations worldwide over the past year.
