ASSA ABLOY Security Doors Frame Design Eases Installation

ASSA ABLOY, Security Doors, a division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has introduced a new jointing system and adjustable packers for all its steel doorframes, benefiting installers and specifiers.

The new mechanically fixed frame jointing system, offers a number of benefits that improve ease of installation. The simple design of the mitre-jointed frame can be simply locked together without the need for any additional fixings, reducing time and effort on site.
The frames are supplied as knock down structures, usually in three pieces, so consequently are easier to offload, move around site and store; reducing the possibility of damage. Additionally, the frames take up less space on delivery vehicles, lowering transportation costs.

The mechanical mitre- joints also offer a more aesthetically pleasing solution to typical, less attractive, butt jointed alternatives.

Integral adjustable packers are now also built into all Powershield single and double rebate frames, assisting installers with alignment and positioning, as well as ensuring a solid, secure fixing.

Nigel Cronin, Sales Manager at ASSA ABLOY, Security Doors, said:

“Our team of designers are continuously developing product innovations, with the intention of making life easier for installers.

We are confident that when our doorframes are specified they will reduce problems on site, helping projects to be delivered on time.

Most doorframes come with independent packers that can be fiddly to install, ASSA ABLOY, Security Doors’ inbuilt packers allow frame profiles to be easily squared up.

Our mechanically fixed doorframes and adjustable packers are just the latest examples of how our products can increase the speed of installation.”

The adjustable packers are available for both fire and non-fire rated doors and fully mitered welded frames are also available for clean room applications or client preferred detail.
