Brivo Systems achieves GSA Approved Products List status

End-to-end PACS solution one of the first available to government agencies

Brivo Systems LLC, leader in cloud applications for security management, has announced that its pre-cloud end-to-end physical access control system with high assurance readers and certificate path validation software has been approved as a fully-compliant FICAM solution by the General Services Administration (GSA).

The approval means that Brivo’s ACS OnSite Aparato along with HID Global pivCLASS readers and certificate validation software are one of the first such products to meet the rigorous testing requirements and comply with the FICAM roadmap and the realignment of the GSA’s Approved Product List (APL). Brivo’s ACS OnSite Aparato is ideal for government agencies, and other institutions, that need robust, full-featured access control with security data stored within their own networks.

“Federal agencies look to the GSA APL to give them the products and services they need to achieve compliance with HSPD-12 and FIPS-201,” explained John Szczygiel, Brivo EVP. “The fact that we are now one of the first end-to-end PACS solutions that meet these stringent requirements means we are uniquely positioned to help our federal customers meet their access control needs with a fully FICAM compliant solution. We offer a solution that achieves full compliance and one that is cloud ready at any time an agency wants to take that step.”

The end-to-end FICAM-approved solution includes HID pivCLASS Registration Engine (MultiPacs); pivCLASS MultiPACS Console; pivCLASS MultiPACS connector for Brivo ACS OnSite Aparato; pivCLASS Certificate Manager; pivCLASS Reader Services; pivCLASS IDPublisher; pivCLASS Authentication Module; and pivCLASS RPKCL40 Contact/Contactless Reader with PIN. The entire end-to-end system can be procured through Brivo.

“The GSA Approved Products List team spent the past twelve months revamping every part of the testing program for physical access systems. In its present form, it is arguably the most robust and rigorous information technology centric physical access testing in the world,” said Chi Hickey, Program Manager for FIPS 201/FICAM testing program, GSA Information Assurance and Trusted Access Division. “Only rigorous testing provides a reasonable basis for confidence in the access control of the federal governments’ buildings and other assets. I am very pleased to announce Brivo Systems, in concert with HID, as our second GSA APL certified end-to-end system.”
