Panasonic Receives a Phenomenal Response to i-Pro SmartHD

Last week at IFSEC 2010, the world’s leading annual security event, over 25,000 security professionals had the chance to visit Panasonic’s stand and see for the first time Panasonic’s i-Pro SmartHD security solutions.
PSNE debuted i-Pro SmartHD CCTV alongside a comprehensive range of cutting edge networkable solutions that respond to increased demand for truly converged IP surveillance and communications systems.
With the tough economic climate and losses due to crime such as shoplifting having increased between 2008 and 2009 by the equivalent of €4.7bn the security industry is increasingly seeking new technologies to help tackle the problem.
i-Pro SmartHD which consists of a range of six entirely new cameras with features that reduce power consumption, decrease IP network data traffic, enable sophisticated new security functionality such as VRS and bring high definition technology into the equation to ensure the highest quality images are captured were shown in response.
Through the introduction of these features and other intelligent attributes Panasonic i-Pro SmartHD security solutions enable PSNE’s partnering installers and end users to reduce total cost of ownership and simultaneously achieve higher standards of security.
But PSNE’s IP solutions don’t stop there, with i-Pro SmartHD cameras and with a full range of peripheral products including everything needed to complete a customised security solution, Steve Gerrard PSNE’s Country Marketing Manager expressed enthusiasm about announcements made at IFSEC; “At IFSEC 2010 Panasonic demonstrated converged security and data networking systems integrated with third party solutions and the response was truly phenomenal.
From the very first day when we picked up the IFSEC award for CCTV Camera Equipment of the Year 2010 with WV-CP500 we knew we were in for a great show but it was difficult to anticipate the response and sheer number of enquiries we received throughout the rest of the show. The most overriding positive feedback we received was to PSNE’s capability to create a strong competitive edge for its customers, by reducing total costs and bringing in new innovation and quality in IP based security and integrated IP solutions.”
