Upgrade for Samsung license free NET-i Viewer software

Samsung has introduced an upgraded version of its license free software NET-i Viewer centralised management software.

NET-i Viewer enables the centralised monitoring, control and administration of Samsung DVRs and iPOLiS network devices, even when the client has multiple sites and is using a mix of analogue and IP equipment.

The latest version of NET-i Viewer, v1.26, has a graphical user interface which has been designed with the operator in mind. It incorporates eMapping and offers multi-monitor support, allowing operators to have the choice of simultaneously displaying 16 channels on a single screen or 32 channels spread over up to four screens.

NET-i Viewer’s event monitoring function notifies operators if there is an alarm event or video loss by generating a yellow signal, whilst bi-directional audio support allows communication between the monitored site and the control room.

Calendar and event search functions are among the extensive options available to retrieve and view recorded video.

NET-i Viewer can display live or recorded video which has been compressed in H.264, MPEG-4, or MJPEG formats and it supports various video resolution including megapixel (1M, 2M, 3M), 4CIF, Half D1, VGA and CIF.  An easy to use back-up function allows recorded video to be transferred to CD or DVD, or to external storage devices such as USB or NAS.

NET-i Viewer is supplied free of charge with all Samsung network devices and DVRs.  Existing devices will automatically self-upgrade to v1.26 when connected to the Samsung upgrade server.
