New video, power and data distribution unit from Nitek

International Security Buyers Guide - For today's security professional

Nitek is proud to introduce the PVX44, a brand new 4 port video, power and data distribution unit. The unit operates with other Nitek UTP video equipment including video hubs and standard video balun transceivers.

The PVX44 utilizes standard 4-pair Category UTP cabling as a means of distributing video, power and data for up to 4 cameras. Any third party Class 2 power supplies can be used with the PVX44. The VB43ATF video, power and data transceivers are required at the camera end.

The PVX44 transmits 4 video signals from the cameras into one 4-pair Category cable. Nitek ‘M’ series hubs can be used for quick and secure installations.

The PVX44 can also adapt to existing communication and computer network spare pairs or new cable installations. These units provide superior immunity from noise and interference, even when run in common raceways with AC. The unit also features indicator LEDs to show the presence of power.

Why using UTP or STP cable?
The cost of UTP/STP is much lower then Coax, fiber or IP;
