In the Middle East and North Africa, border protection technology continues to become more integral to homeland security operations. SRC has already begun to play a vital role in bolstering the border security and force protection capabilities of the MENA countries by supplying multiple surveillance systems to the region.
Now in full rate production, SRC’s SR Hawk™ ground surveillance radar, designed as a low-cost, lightweight and network ready system, provides 360° coverage, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of force protection operations relevant to critical national infrastructure; border security; base protection; artillery spotting and port and harbour protection.
The SR Hawk radar can be used to detect and track personnel, ground vehicles, maritime vessels and low flying aircraft including UAVs across a multitude of environments, littoral and land-based operations. It has been designed for rapid set-up and ease of use and can be mounted onboard a tripod, tower, vehicle mount, or rooftop.
The SR Hawk ground surveillance radar, with more than 250 units fielded around the world, is also the primary radar in the U.S. Military Persistent Ground Surveillance Tower (PGST) used both abroad and domestically in the surveillance and protection of critical infrastructure and force protection.
